Almost 200 riders, from 21 countries, will contest until Sunday the DHI European Championships in Lousã, Aldeias do Xisto, Portugal.
The riders will find a speedy and technical track with a flow. The descent route has 2,43 km, from 626m to 154m. The medium slope is 14,3% and the maximum is 29%.
The entry list shows 22 riders of the men elite top 100 ranking and 11 riders of the women top ranking. Is assured the high profile level of the competition.
Looking at the rankings, we should highlight five men and five women: the French Rudy Caribou, 16th on the men ranking, the Polish Slawomir Lukasik, 19th, the British Greg Williamson, 24th, the Italian Loris Revelli, 25th, and the Irish Jacob Dickson, 27th. On the women side we highlight the Solvenian Monika Hrastnik, 9th of the ranking, the Swiss Carina Cappellari, 11th, the French Mélanie Chappaz, 12th, the Italian Veronika Widmann, 16th, and the French Morgane Charre, 20th.
The Official Downhill Training will start on Thursday (9:00 am – 5:00 pm). Friday the schedule is the same. On Saturday we will see the seeding round (9:00 am – 4:30 pm). The finals will be held on Sunday: Master (9:15 am – 10:45 am), Junior (1:30 pm – 3:00 pm) and Elite (start at 4:00 pm). The junior and elite finals will have live stream broadcast.
